This policy explains what personal information we collect through mmbrokers.com.au, how we use and disclose it, and how you can access or correct it, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Information we collect

We collect personal information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Your name, phone number, email address and the content of your message, when you submit an enquiry through our Contact, Wanted, Yield Finance or BG Finance forms.
  • Details about machinery you're looking to buy or sell, when you contact us about a listing or submit a Wanted request.

We also automatically collect some technical information when you browse the site, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and how you interact with the site, via Google Analytics (see “Analytics and cookies” below).

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry, provide quotes, and arrange machinery sales, purchases or finance on your behalf.
  • Contact you about machinery you've listed with us, or machinery matching a Wanted request.
  • Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including as a licensed motor dealer.

We don't use your personal information for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we don't sell your personal information to third parties.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand site traffic and usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address (in de-identified/aggregated form), device type and pages viewed. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google's browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or through your browser's cookie settings.

Third-party services embedded on this site

Some pages on this site embed content or tools operated by third parties, who may independently collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies:

  • Jotform — powers our Contact, Wanted, Yield Finance and BG Finance enquiry forms. Information you submit through these forms is received by Jotform on our behalf and forwarded to us.
  • Google Maps — embedded on our Contact page to show our location.
  • Tagembed/Taggbox — displays our social media posts on the home page.
  • TraderClassifieds / Trade Farm Machinery — powers the live machinery listings shown on our Used Machinery page.

We encourage you to review those providers' own privacy policies if you have concerns about how they handle your information.

Disclosure and overseas storage

We may disclose your personal information to service providers who help us operate this site and our business, including the providers listed above, our web hosting and CDN provider (Cloudflare), and, where relevant to a finance enquiry, Yield Finance or BG Finance. Several of these providers store or process data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. By using this site and submitting your information, you consent to this overseas storage and processing.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information we hold, including serving this site exclusively over HTTPS with HSTS enforced, and restricting access to our content management system to authorised staff only. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask us for access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting admin@mmbrokers.com.au. If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or the tools we use. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
